At Oybike we like to think of our bikes as the most portable bike in the world, but not in the sense of you being able to take it anywhere with you but because it is always in a location waiting for you.
Oybike is a rental system that is based on the street and we have a network that will allow our clients to hire and then return the portable bicycle using the power of technology. Their mobile phone being that medium that lets us know they want to hire a bike and when they are returning it to another of our stations around London.
You can hire the bicycles from many places around London such as the major tube stations, a large number of public buildings as well as numerous car parks that are in key locations and numerous key transport interchanges.
The portable Oybikes are secured to the state of the art standsusing security attachments which stay with the bike when they are released so that you may secure them to solid sturdy objects when you are using them.
When you come to hire the bicycle just text the code that is on the bike to our main call centre and then we will send you an unlock code, all you need to do is then enter this code into the specially designed locks and then this unique code will identify that you have taken the bike and then the timer will start and this will continue until you lock the bike up at the next docking station.
We have just recently added a great inprovement to our system, we thought it was perfect but we have made it even better, the code you used to give you was quite large but we have now reduced this to eleven numbers and the returned code is reduced to six. You do not need a code when returning the bicycle to a portable bike locking station just press the lock button which is red in colour and then just all us and let us know that you have finished with the bicycle and then we will deduct the amount of time from your account.
