French Bike Scheme Reaches 100,000 Rentals Milestone
Three months after launching, over 100,000 journeys have been made system
Following the launch of the OYBike scheme in Nice, France in July, OYBike is delighted to announce the smashing of the 100,000 rental milestone.
The Nice scheme is currently 900 bikes (building to 1,750 bikes) across 175 stations, under a 15-year contract. OYBike provides the technology for the scheme on behalf of its partner, Veolia Transport, one of the world’s largest transport providers, who operate the system.
Remarking on the news, OYBike Managing Director Bernie Hanning said, "It’s been a busy summer, launching in Nice, Vannes and most recently Cardiff. Encouraging users to try a new scheme is always a challenge and we are delighted that over 100,000 journeys have been made by people inspired to try the system within the first three months. We hope that trend continues".
