Renting a Bike

Before you can rent a bike you will need to pre-register using the 'Registration' menu option. You can also register by phoning us on 0845 226 5751.

Please note that a valid credit or debit card will be required to complete registration.

Switch rental station ON


Press the 'on' button to activate the rental station. The main screen will be displayed after a few seconds.  

HIRE a bike


Once switched on, the system will give you the option to hire or return a bike.  Simply press the button which matches your selection. 

SWIPE card validation


In order for a bike to be released the system must determine who you are. You can either swipe a bike rental card ...... 

or CALL for validation
 

If you have already registered your mobile phone you can call the number displayed on the rental station. The call will not be answered or charged. However, it will let us identify you and enable us to release a bike on your account.
 

SELECT an OYBike


If there are a number of OYBikes available you will be asked which bike you wish to use. Please remember to check the bike to ensure it is in a suitable condition before you hire.
 

Bike is RELEASED


The bike is release by pulling the cable from the front of the rental station. Please ensure the cable is secured before riding the bike.
